SPEECH PATHOLOGY ASSESSMENT

Helping You To Understand

The first step is for Karen to assess her clients communication skills. This includes their articulation, phonology, receptive language, expressive language, social use of language and fluency. This assessment allows Karen to determine the most suitable therapy to achieve the best possible result. Karen is a registered user of most standardised assessments.

SPEECH PATHOLOGY REPORTS

Recording your Goals & Progress

A report will be produced at various stages throughout treatment.  A report is used to document the initial assessment, to record progress against defined goals and to refer patients. In some instances, reports are used to secure funding for the treatment e.g. NDIS funding.

SPECIAL NEEDS

Providing equity

Being a part of the community is very important to Karen and the patients she serves, none more so than those with special needs. A key part of her practice is to offer evidence-based programs such as augmentative and alternative communication including sign language. (Key Word sign and Proloquo2go).

I am a Certified Professional Speech Pathologist and aim to provide high quality care to the Northern beaches community both in the comfort of your own home or at my practice. My patients include infants, pre-school, school, special needs and adults. It’s taken me 25 years of hard work to get where I am today, to the point where I can say your communication is in good hands.
